Cost Estimator Team Leader

The Cost Estimator Leader will be responsible for managing a team of cost modelers, improve process knowledge base of the company, grow the other cost modelers and perform estimates of components cost for R&D and for procurement target settings and negotiations:

  • Components cost estimate trough cost model methodology
  • Analyses and comparison cost models-supplier offers breakdown
  • Support Purchase Departement in the negotiations
  • Support R&D to design to cost
  • Support Engineering team in cost saving ideas or in evaluation of different technical solutions
  • Contribute to improve the quality and performance of cost modeling and control methodologies
  • Collect data from suppliers’ visits and internet searches to build country specific database of costs (presses, man, energy, etc)
  • Implement and maintain cost database mentioned above
  • Make Buy analyses
  • Report to upper management
  • Map manufacturing processes from theory and physics to manufacturing needs and organizational and financial elements to develop company’s cost estimation knowledge
  • Lead cost modelers globally and be in charge and accountable for cost Estimates
  • Grow cost modelers
  • Define working methodologies and processes with other functions and suppliers
  • Identify potential savings and support procurement and R&D to achieve them
  • Lead software and databases updates and improvement strategy

Skills and experiences

  • At least 5 – 8 years of experience in the role
  • Fluent English
  • Analytic and problem solving skills
